For all the smug cynicism out there post the “No Kings 2.0” nationwide mass protests against the fascist Trump admin which just happened Saturday, October 18th 2025, saying that these mass protests “don’t do anything, won’t do anything,” that it’s all just a “fun parade that makes people feel better,” and “just a bunch of tribal virtue signaling, blah blah…” No one is say ing that mass protests alone create all the changes needed, but they are a (historically proven) PART of the cocktail for change and resistance needless to say, and without which the higher strategic steps of targeted boycotts, strikes, direct action, systemically disruptive non-violent civil disobedience, legislative components, etc., aren’t possible—unless we have a mass movement, which starts by galvanizing and unifying the people in the streets viscerally together. (Photo: Associated Press) Everyday, some 50–100 aid-seeking, defenseless Palestinians are fatally shot and killed, many of them children, by the Israeli Terrorist Forces—every single day. It happened yesterday, it happened the day before that, and it will happen again tomorrow. The “aid” Israel claims to be allowed in is around 35 trucks, with a couple of other countries air dropping aid that may be landing on Palestinians heads and tents… when what’s needed given the mass starvation ensuing, with a genocided population that has zero infrastructure, is thousands of trucks of aid. If they can allow in 36 trucks then they can allow all of the aid trucks in lined up for miles outside Gaza. Not to mention much of the aid which does make it in, is stolen by Israeli-allied ISIS linked terrorist gangs who resell it at extortionist prices to starving Palestinian families, where a kilo of flower can reach around $100. We’ve done nothing to solve our climate crisis at the industrial level where it counts. There is a 99.99% scientific consensus that climate change/global warming IS happening, set to make the Earth unlivable for human beings and countless other lifeforms in the coming decades. And there's 99.99% scientific consensus that carbon emissions are THE main cause of it, ie: fossil fuel use from cars, power plants, industry, etc., exacerbated by our destruction of carbon-absorbing rainforests and oceans—the planet's natural immune system. We need hard, binding legal caps on emissions; measurable pass/fail benchmarks which must be met by polluting companies on a regular basis, made severely punishable by law. However, the true root of Climate Change is the profit motive, societies one singular goal. If it makes money, if it generates income, that’s all that matters, no matter how dumb, destructive, distracting, or undemocratic. It supersedes priorities, moralities, and our very politics...
